Polly has posted a video encouraging Ramsgate residents to help shape the future of Ramsgate! You can watch it by clicking here.
Ramsgate has been awarded £20m funding for Ramsgate, through the government’s Plan for Neighbourhoods programme. The funding will be used to help deal with some of the issues that matter most to local people, from 2026-2036.
The first step is to find out what matters most to the people of Ramsgate – residents can share your thoughts in our online survey until Monday 8 September.
A a Neighbourhood Board is also being set up to develop a ten-year vision and regeneration plan for Ramsgate. It’s important that the plans represent as many different Ramsgate communities as possible, so there are six seats on the Board, one each reserved for:
– A young person aged 18 to 25
– Council or social housing tenant
– High street business owner
– Private sector investor, not looking for public/grant investment for their business
– Representative from a cultural or leisure venue
– Representative from a community, cultural or faith organisation, working directly with Ramsgate residents
If you’re interested in being on the Board that helps to shape the future of Ramsgate, please fill out the online application.
