Polly has spoken the The 93% Club in parliament about the need to address disparities between people educated at private schools and those educated in the state sector. Addressing the event for 93% Club members, she said it was unacceptable that industries like journalism, politics, and the creative sector are still dominated by people who went to private school – despite 93% of people being educated in the state sector.
At the event, she also spoke about her own experiences as someone with a state education in politics, and praised The 93% Club for building a support network for the 93% of people who didn’t go to a private school, so we can make sure that everyone has the connections and support they need to thrive.
